The Power of Positive Affirmation: Positively Amazing!

What a fantastic way to live, bringing forth one’s own positive energy to create a sense of empowerment. Now I know that life isn’t always a bowl of Hershey Kisses, but each and every single one of us has the ability to manifest great things in our lives.

On a television show that I’ve recently viewed, the host was conveying a very inspiring message. It was right after I finished writing “Hearing Angels”, an article about angelic communication. I was already feeling a great deal of positive energy when I started watching what was on t.v., but for some reason the show really pulled me in. The entire thirty minutes of its air time was one continuous uplifting message. I was in such awe because of the timing. It was like a message of affirmation…. a positive reinforcement of what I had just finished writing prior to the show.

It helped me to better understand that we all have this remarkable sense of power within us. A strength that resides deep within our well-being that yearns to surface so that each of us can manifest our dreams, birthing them into reality.

All we have to do is be positive. I know sometimes that’s not easy to do. Trust me, I’ve had my share of hardships too, but whether or not to let that weigh me down was my choice. And I chose not to let it weigh me down. Instead, I allowed those difficult times to show me how to better myself, not just for me, but for those around me as well.

Energy is all around us, good and bad. Stay strong and stand for what you believe in. Focus on all that is good and positive things will happen. Have faith and know that the power of positive affirmation does exist.

Light will always prevail!

“Why?” vs “What?”….. The key to empowering ourselves….

In our darkest moments we all too often fall victim to the sobbing of “Why is this happening to me?” . It’s easy to lay blame onto that which we do not understand…. easy to give up and simply throw in the towel. But by doing so, what does that actually teach us?

Self-doubt, low self esteem, inner conflicts due to anxiety and depression….the list goes on…. So many factors play into the “Why me?” scenario. Unfortunately, we have all had moments like these. And the important thing to know is…. It’s ok to have an “off day“. By having one doesn’t mean that we are bad people or that the whole world is crumbling, even though that’s exactly what it feels like is happening during those times.

But if we change our perspective from “why is this happening to me?” to “what is this trying to teach me?“, then we change our mindset. We begin to start looking for lessons that are meant to be learned from our experiences. Lessons that can help strengthen our “mind, body and spirit” . And by doing so, empowering ourselves to be the wonderful individuals that we all are meant to be on a daily basis.

Having an “off day” is ok. It’s the dark moments that help us to see the light, sometimes that’s when the stars seem to shine their brightest!

So, the next time we face adversity, let’s look for the lesson that’s meant to be learned instead of focusing on the problem that can prevent us from moving forward.

You are beautiful, strong and you rock! Spread your wings and fly! 😉

The House of Spirits

It was nearly eight years ago when we started looking for a house to buy. He and I decided to look at the local listings separately and whatever house we both liked with our separate searches, we would go and look at them.

Oddly, with he and I both separately looking (did not know each other’s choice), we were drawn to the same exact house. Was this particular location, with a house not even twenty years old at the time, calling out to us? Maybe, but whatever it was, we knew we had to check it out.

The land, being barely an acre, was covered by lots of big trees. This 1200 square foot house sat off the road a bit. With its four white columns in the front, the one story brick structure had a certain comforting charm about it. Huge windows that allow in all the beautiful sunshine….. Love!!

We scheduled a viewing appointment with the realtor, who ended up becoming a very dear friend…. actually, more like a family member now. (Southern charm and etiquette have their ways of bringing people closer together.)

The day was a Monday, just after Thanksgiving, when we drove out to the house. As we were nearing the property, barely entering the driveway, we began to feel an energy coming from this place. It was so inviting, which made us want to see it even more. There was a “presence” we couldn’t explain. Our younger son was with us, and he was just as eager as we were.

As we approached the house, the realtor standing there with his warm smile, welcomed us inside. Like I mentioned, the house is barely 1200 square feet so it didn’t take long to view it. The open floorplan has three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The stained glass lighting fixtures in the kitchen made me squeal like a little girl because I immediately fell in love with them. That made the guys laugh at me. I told them it was a “girl thing”. Lol

The location is right outside city limits, yet close enough to everywhere and only nine miles from the beach! It’s quiet and the neighbors are awesome.

After purchasing the home, we had to do several things… paint the interior, fill in places in the sheetrock where previous residents had hung photos and other decorations on the walls… those types of things. As we did these, we could feel the presence of something otherworldly, like being observed. And occasionally, hearing and seeing things. Like one time, I was walking into the master bathroom and to my right, just in my ear (and I was home alone), I heard a male’s voice faintly say, “Hey”. I turned my head and couldn’t find anyone. Other times, shadows seen out of the corners of our eyes. A strong female presence has been felt many times, an older lady who seems to be the observer, in my opinion. And a few times recently, I have seen a man wearing a light blue checkered shirt also observing me.

However as crazy as all this sounds, nothing malevolent has ever been felt. We have paranormal investigative equipment and have conducted some sessions to communicate. Our findings have proven conclusive. We feel that our home is a transient spot for spirits to come and go. I believe our dog has even picked up on things as well because he has made certain gestures that have validated our belief. And being a psychic and Empath, I can’t discount what I “feel” and “know”.

Here are some photos of our home.

“Angels & Their Connection Hotlines”

Have you ever seen a number that just kept appearing out of nowhere, at random times? Like for instance, about a week or so ago, the number 1111 showed itself to me at three separate times. (And it literally just hit me as I’m writing this that the number 1111 repeated itself to me three times!) The number 3 in any form has always had strong symbolism for me. *The Angelic meaning of “3” represents that the Ascended Masters are with an individual, aiding the person with guidance of love and light.*

I was also born on the third day of the third month. So, the number 3 has always been extremely prevalent for me all throughout my entire life on so many levels.

And getting back to when I saw the number 1111…. this number symbolizes the invite to awaken oneself to embracing the bigger picture and to focus on the opportunity of what lies ahead. It is a time of thought manifestation, bringing thought into reality. Meaning, like I always say, “Positive Vibes Only!”…. having positive thoughts will manifest positive things and negative thoughts will manifest negative things. With that being said, when seeing the number 1111, make sure to be thinking positive thoughts (constantly). A powerful gateway of energy has been opened up for you from the Higher Realm of Spirit. This is an important time of acknowledgement and enlightenment. Know that the Angels are by your side with guidance and support.

When I saw the number 1111 repeat itself, it automatically gave me goosebumps because I’ve recently begun to lessen the negativity around me and to start “listening within” to my inner voice, hearing the messages that I receive from the Angelic Realm and feeling their love and positive energy. What a wonderful feeling of enlightenment! I truly feel blessed and grateful!

Recently I wrote “Spooky Random Fact: #2” about the number 666 and how it’s nothing to fear. The number, due to misinformation, continues to be misunderstood. As I mentioned in the “Spooky Random Fact”, the number 666 actually has an empowering meaning behind it. It symbolizes the need for us to take a step back to re-evaluate our current condition and learn to let go of the fear and material things that tend to take us off our spiritual journey. It’s a message that we need to bring our focus back to our hearts and learn to listen within so that we can reach a level of higher learning of love and compassion. You can say that it’s like a “warning” message that we are being too negative with our thoughts, therefore the path of our daily lives, and that we should regain control by reinforcing ourselves with the positive energy of love and light. So, if you ever find yourself seeing the number 666, don’t fear it. Merely stop what you’re doing and take a moment of reflection and see how you can change your life for the better by incorporating the power of positive affirmation.

The above numbers were out of chronological order, but the following are and you might have seen them and maybe even resonate with them…..

If you’ve ever seen the number 222, it refers to a new beginning, the need to move forward. Be willing to accept the next chapter in life.

Seeing the number 333 means that the Ascended Masters are around you. This number is a reminder that you are a master in training and that you have infinite power within you to create greatness, not just for yourself, but for others as well.

The Angelic number 444 symbolizes the need to focus on your inner wisdom and recognize the strong connection that you have with the Angelic Realm. Be fearless and confident.

If you see the number 555, this refers to an upcoming change in your life that will take place in the immediate future. So, stay strong and remain positive. Things will work out accordingly.

The number 777. When seeing this, it sends the message to embrace and acknowledge your awareness to knowing yourself better. You are working more perfectly with the Universe, being more aligned with your life’s purpose, bringing forth positive energy of love and light into the world as a lightworker.

The Angels sending number 888. This means that the Universe is sending good things your way for past achievements, including good Karmic energy, and a harmonious balance in all aspects of your life.

If you see the number 999, it symbolizes a time of closure, letting go of the past without any judgmental fears. Accept things that happened with love and light. Your intuition will always be true to you, to guide you. So don’t be afraid to trust it. Your intuition is there to help.

When the Angels send the number 000, it’s a message informing you that you are at “Oneness” with the Creator and that you are in tune with your Higher Self.

When the numbers that come to us are viewed in “3’s” (like 999 or 888, etc….), it’s a strong message of our powers that are manifesting. The number that is tripled simply means that its power has increased more rapidly.

Now there are so many more Angelic numbers with extremely important messages, but the above mentioned are just to name a few. I would love to hear from all of you! Have you received any messages to share from the Angelic Realm? If so, what are the numbers you’ve seen and how have you incorporated the messages into your daily lives?

~ Always feel free to call upon the Angels. They are always there for you, happy to assist any way they can. ~

A Little Reminder….

Always remember from where you came, never forgetting that initial spark that got you to where you are today. Remember what gave you strength, courage and ambition. Embrace the push that made you achieve greatness. Without our past, we have no present, hence no future to show the world how far we’ve come. There is wisdom in time. Be the Phoenix that soars high above adversity and shine on!

As always, love & light! ~ Sheila 💋

Coming Out Of The Broom Closet

Not necessarily an easy thing to do for a witch. Well, at least not for me. I was raised as a Baptist. When I was little, we went to church on Sundays and Wednesdays. We also attended other church related events and gatherings like Vacation Bible School and holiday celebrations. I was even in the church choir. Everyone was always extremely welcoming and full of love, however that was never enough. Why I say this is because while growing up, my curiosity always had the best of me. I would often question things about religion and the reply I got every time was, “Never question God.”. No disrespect to the ones who told me that, but their answer never satisfied me. It actually troubled me because I wanted to know more. I’ve always been extremely inquisitive about life in general. So, when I was told “Never question God”, that made me want to question all the more.

As I got older, and upon doing my own research, I discovered there was so much more than what I was lead to believe as a child. Keep in mind, I am not trying to dance on anyone’s toes or show any kind of disrespect to anyone’s beliefs. I am merely speaking on my own personal behalf and what it was like for me. But after years and years of going through life feeling unfulfilled with my faith, I finally came to a point in my life when I stopped listening to certain popular beliefs that made me feel uncertain and them trying to fulfill their need to “save me”.

Wait…. Save me? Save me from what? I don’t need saving just because I don’t believe like them. And I am not going to Hell because of my choice. I no longer follow the path to which I was raised, meaning that of course, I am not a Christian. I am a Wiccan, a solitary practitioner. I do not belong in a coven (and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that for those who do). I follow my own heart, my own path. I love being at one with nature and embracing all its magic. I communicate with the Angels, listen to my Spirit Guides and try my very best to live at peace with all the beautiful energies of the Universe.

A few summers ago, a young individual tried to convert me. She was on a missionary trip that lasted several weeks to help spread the word of Christ. While doing so, she and her group were seasonally employed at the same place where I worked. One day she asked me about my faith, so I openly told her about it. And then, as time went on, she tried to persuade me to listen to her as she attempted to make me change my belief. I asked her very calmly, “Why are you trying to do this?”. She replied, “Because I’m worried for your soul. I don’t want you to go to Hell.”

Honestly, I could see the concern in her eyes. She was such a kind and bright young lady, just a little naive was all. When she said that she was worried for my soul I told her, “No need to be worried because I’m not. I feel that I’m following the right path for me just as you are in your belief. As long as we all follow what is right and what is good, isn’t that what really matters? What defines your belief doesn’t define mine. Just because I don’t follow your path doesn’t mean I’m going to Hell.” That made her quiet for a moment as she pondered, looking into my eyes. I continued (again, very calmly and politely), “Honey, you’re wasting your breath with me.” I then put my arms around her to give her a great big hug and told her that I loved her because after all, she was such a sweetheart and a complete joy to work with.

It’s only been within the past few years that I’ve found the courage to speak openly about coming out of the broom closet. Why? Well, because of my upbringing and the societal fear about witches. (Wiccaphobia: the fear of witches or witchcraft.) Throughout the centuries, and thanks to Hollywood’s constant misleading portrayal, it’s easy to understand why people fear us. However, it is ignorance that keeps people in the dark. That’s why I now openly talk about being a Wiccan in hope to help educate others and let them know that we are nothing to be afraid of. I can only speak personally on my behalf because I know how I am with my spiritual journey and the fact is that I only practice white magic. I negate anything that is dark, negative and/ or evil. I stand proudly and firm with my beliefs and if anything of the latter ever tried to gain control over me, I would quickly call upon the Angels, my Spirit Guides and the positive energies of the Universe for white light protection. Trust me, I do not follow the dark arts. I promote, protect and project only and all that is good. As I always say, “Love & Light!” and I mean that with all my heart!

Several years back I wrote a previous article about another encounter that I had with a “bible handler” going door to door. Here’s that article titled, “Ignorance is Bliss”…. or is it just annoying?

Keep it real, people and never be afraid to be yourself! You are loved!! AND…. YOU TOTALLY ROCK!!!

‘Tis the Holidays!!!

The holidays are here and I hope you all have amazing plans for this wonderful time of year! My family and I will be spending a few days with our loved ones in Tennessee, some much needed time that has been long overdue. We definitely can’t wait!!

Whether one lives hundreds of miles away from loved ones (like my family and I do) or if one simply lives right down the road, it’s extremely important to stop our daily routines to make time to be with those we hold dear in our hearts. Yesterday is just a memory while tomorrow is never promised, so live in the moment and make today the best one ever! Carpe diem! Why? Because life is short and we may never get a second chance to enjoy it!!

So, sip on your egg nog, hot cocoa, apple cider or whatever makes your tummy warm and laugh with those who make you happy. Negate all that is negative and know in your heart that there is a wondrous blessing to behold each and every single day. Hug your family and friends, always keeping them close, even though the miles may say otherwise, the distance can never diminish the bond.

From our home to all of yours!! Merry Christmas & A Very Happy New Year!!!

Love, Sheila & family ❤

“Risen”

She soars high above adversity, rising higher than she’s ever been before. The Phoenix is an exquisite representation of a courageous spirit who refuses to back down in the face of fear.

The Phoenix is strong, confident and ever so elegant. She embraces the will to survive and seeks to aid others on their journey to empowerment!

Recently I wrote an article titled, Dodging the Bullet about how I had to get further testing (another mammogram and an ultrasound) to make sure that I didn’t have anything ailing me. My results came back all clear, thank goodness! But after all was done, I was inspired to paint a soaring Phoenix with a Breast Cancer Awareness ribbon as the bird’s body. I searched online for ideas on how to design the Phoenix and finally came up with a soft, yet bold, representation of how I wanted the artwork to turn out.

Here is my painting. I am extremely happy on how beautiful she is!!! She will proudly be displayed on a wall in my office. So excited!!  🙂

Little Miss Pollyanna

Ahhh…. Little Miss Pollyanna….. to live day to day with a positive attitude…. to try one’s best to help spread the ever so needed energy of positive vibes. …. to negate all that is negative to help the world be a better, brighter place. Not a bad way to live. At least, not for me anyway….. lol…. however….

There are those out there who have tried to imply that I’m “too bubbly”. That I’m too much of a dreamer, always with my head in the clouds. Well, all I have to say to that is… I am extremely proud of the cheerful person that I am! I have come a loooonnngggggg way to be the woman that I’ve become. And yes, I am a dreamer, but I am also a realist. I know when to set boundaries when it comes to the fantasy world. Will I ever stop being silly and goofy? Not a chance in Hell!!! 😉

Now I’m sure you’re all asking, “Why is she writing a blog post like this?”. Because on occasion a random person, here and there, has come forward to me with their negative verbiage and try to deflate my positive attitude. For some peculiar reason they think I’ve never had any of life’s issues. (Trust me, I’ve never been immuned to life’s challenges.) BUT…. I, just like anyone else, have the choice to rise above adversity. I will not allow anything negative to get the best of me, and I am well aware of how people and things are.

I think it’s hilarious that my positive disposition has actually bothered some folks. For them to literally reach out to me (especially when they don’t even know me) and try to dim my ray of sunshine?! Their comments have completely no effect on me. I use them to help me to be even stronger, to rise even higher as an enlightened individual. I honestly hope those who live negative lives are able to one day find peace and happiness in their hearts.

Some people are truly such sad individuals to try to bring others down. Now I promise my intentions are not to be petty with this article, nor play any childish games by calling out naysayers. All I am doing is reminding people how important it is to have a positive mindset and how much better it can, and will, make someone feel!

Being cynical only implies that one hasn’t discovered the inner strength or harmony needed to see the brighter side of things. There is a sense of awakening, even a sense of empowerment, when one finally embraces both, Light and Dark. As I often like to say…. “I love the Dark as much as I love the Light. There is such a beautiful balance.”

For all you beautiful people out there with your radiant smiles…. continue to shine for all the world to see! YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! And for all you naysayers…. you just need a BIG FUZZY HUG!!!! LOL…. 😉

Have a blessed weekend, everyone!

Love & Light, Sheila
