Auld Lang Syne

“Should auld (old) acquaintance be forgot, and never brought to mind? Should auld (old) acquaintance be forgot, and auld (old) lang syne?” Ahhh…. the long familiar song associated with this time of year.

Auld Lang Syne: “For (the sake of) old times.”

‘Tis the end of another year, my friends. 2022 is coming to a close as 2023 approaches. Did you all have a wonderful Christmas? I sure did. I was extremely grateful to spend a relaxing holiday at home with my family. We carried on the annual Christmas Eve tradition of driving around looking at the local Christmas decorations. Then, once we arrived home we watched the classic film, A Christmas Story starring Peter Billingsley as Ralphie Parker, along with Darren McGavin and Melinda Dillon who played his parents and Ian Petrella who played his pesky little brother, Randy. My family and I have seen the movie countless times, but every time we watch it, it still cracks us up.

And then on Christmas day, we stayed home opening our gifts as we sat by the fireplace. It was definitely a wonderful time!

Tomorrow is the first day of the new year and I’m certainly ready for it. Are you? I’m really looking forward to this next year! What does 2023 have in store for you? I’d love to hear about it! What are some of your holiday traditions and what exciting plans have you got for the upcoming year?

As we celebrate this festive holiday season, always be safe and enjoy. Life is for remembering, not regretting!

HAPPY NEW YEAR, EVERYONE!!!

Season of the Witch

It’s that time of the year again! Halloween is just around the corner, love it…. My fave holiday!

Fall weather is here…. Pumpkin spice and everything nice…. Ghosts, goblins, spooks and ghouls… And the ever enchanting witch. Magic is definitely in the air!

I, myself am Wiccan. I practice white magic. So with that being said, I hold a very special place in my heart for witches.

One of my fave songs is a cover by Lana Del Rey titled, “Season of the Witch”. https://youtu.be/zA4OjrpVsiY

Also, I just finished a shadowy sketch of a witch. Added a soft pink for her lips… Kept it simple.

A Leafy Connection

Hi everyone! Hope you are all well. It has been a wonderful day so far. Transplanted this little beauty from a group of wild ferns that were growing outside our house.

Also, clipped pine straw from the yard to make mulch.

Doing things like this really make me feel more connected with Mother Nature. ❤️

The Earth is full of so many bountiful gifts!

Stay motivated and stay blessed! You all are amazing!!

Something to remember…

Blowing out someone else’s candle won’t make yours shine brighter. Remember that.”

There is nothing ever to gain by tearing others down.

Always pay it forward with kindness … Rise above and help others to do the same. Together we can all shine brighter! ❤️

Fall In Love With Being Alive

Feeling those beautiful positive vibes and counting my blessings each and every single day!

“Why?” vs “What?”….. The key to empowering ourselves….

In our darkest moments we all too often fall victim to the sobbing of “Why is this happening to me?” . It’s easy to lay blame onto that which we do not understand…. easy to give up and simply throw in the towel. But by doing so, what does that actually teach us?

Self-doubt, low self esteem, inner conflicts due to anxiety and depression….the list goes on…. So many factors play into the “Why me?” scenario. Unfortunately, we have all had moments like these. And the important thing to know is…. It’s ok to have an “off day“. By having one doesn’t mean that we are bad people or that the whole world is crumbling, even though that’s exactly what it feels like is happening during those times.

But if we change our perspective from “why is this happening to me?” to “what is this trying to teach me?“, then we change our mindset. We begin to start looking for lessons that are meant to be learned from our experiences. Lessons that can help strengthen our “mind, body and spirit” . And by doing so, empowering ourselves to be the wonderful individuals that we all are meant to be on a daily basis.

Having an “off day” is ok. It’s the dark moments that help us to see the light, sometimes that’s when the stars seem to shine their brightest!

So, the next time we face adversity, let’s look for the lesson that’s meant to be learned instead of focusing on the problem that can prevent us from moving forward.

You are beautiful, strong and you rock! Spread your wings and fly! 😉

Never Give Up!

“Never give up on your aspirations. Sometimes life is funny and can get in the way with simple distractions, but don’t let that stop you. If you have a dream, then go for it. You have the power to make it manifest itself into something fantastic, so mesmerizing that it has the possibility to astonish even the most daring of minds. Dream on and make it a reality.” ~ Sheila Renee Parker

Stay strong and always stay blessed! 🤗

It’s great to be alive!!

Hope you’re all off to a fantastic start! Remember to pay it forward with those beautiful smiles and positive vibes!

Massive love to you all! YOU ROCK!!!

The House of Spirits

It was nearly eight years ago when we started looking for a house to buy. He and I decided to look at the local listings separately and whatever house we both liked with our separate searches, we would go and look at them.

Oddly, with he and I both separately looking (did not know each other’s choice), we were drawn to the same exact house. Was this particular location, with a house not even twenty years old at the time, calling out to us? Maybe, but whatever it was, we knew we had to check it out.

The land, being barely an acre, was covered by lots of big trees. This 1200 square foot house sat off the road a bit. With its four white columns in the front, the one story brick structure had a certain comforting charm about it. Huge windows that allow in all the beautiful sunshine….. Love!!

We scheduled a viewing appointment with the realtor, who ended up becoming a very dear friend…. actually, more like a family member now. (Southern charm and etiquette have their ways of bringing people closer together.)

The day was a Monday, just after Thanksgiving, when we drove out to the house. As we were nearing the property, barely entering the driveway, we began to feel an energy coming from this place. It was so inviting, which made us want to see it even more. There was a “presence” we couldn’t explain. Our younger son was with us, and he was just as eager as we were.

As we approached the house, the realtor standing there with his warm smile, welcomed us inside. Like I mentioned, the house is barely 1200 square feet so it didn’t take long to view it. The open floorplan has three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The stained glass lighting fixtures in the kitchen made me squeal like a little girl because I immediately fell in love with them. That made the guys laugh at me. I told them it was a “girl thing”. Lol

The location is right outside city limits, yet close enough to everywhere and only nine miles from the beach! It’s quiet and the neighbors are awesome.

After purchasing the home, we had to do several things… paint the interior, fill in places in the sheetrock where previous residents had hung photos and other decorations on the walls… those types of things. As we did these, we could feel the presence of something otherworldly, like being observed. And occasionally, hearing and seeing things. Like one time, I was walking into the master bathroom and to my right, just in my ear (and I was home alone), I heard a male’s voice faintly say, “Hey”. I turned my head and couldn’t find anyone. Other times, shadows seen out of the corners of our eyes. A strong female presence has been felt many times, an older lady who seems to be the observer, in my opinion. And a few times recently, I have seen a man wearing a light blue checkered shirt also observing me.

However as crazy as all this sounds, nothing malevolent has ever been felt. We have paranormal investigative equipment and have conducted some sessions to communicate. Our findings have proven conclusive. We feel that our home is a transient spot for spirits to come and go. I believe our dog has even picked up on things as well because he has made certain gestures that have validated our belief. And being a psychic and Empath, I can’t discount what I “feel” and “know”.

Here are some photos of our home.

A Random Act of Kindness

True story….. I was at a convenient store today to get gas. Went inside to pay. A young man in line before me turned to me and asked, ” what are you getting?”

I looked at him kinda puzzled and replied, “Gas.”

He said, “ok” . Then turned back around to face the cashier and said, “I got her.” Then he proceeded to pay for my gas.

I was like, “seriously?”

He turned back to me and smiled, “yes, ma’am”.

It took me by surprise. I asked him if I could give him a hug as I thanked him, and he of course said yes.

The young man didn’t ask for anything in return. He actually paid for another lady’s purchase as well.

As I was leaving, I smiled and thanked him again. He returned the smile and waved.

And just like that, a random act of kindness…. especially with gas prices being as crazy as they are. I am still at awe over his generosity. Proof that there is good in the world! ❤️

Stay blessed, everyone!
