Coexistence…. Such a beautiful thing!

Happy first day of March and TGIF, everyone!! Just a quick note to wish you all well and hoping you have amazing plans for the weekend! I have to work, but don’t mind at all, always living and loving life! Happy to be alive!! As I say daily….. positive vibes only!!

This morning when I awoke I started scrolling through social media to see what everyone was up to. Many people post some of the most hilarious things that really crack me up and set the day off to a great start. I love reading all the quirky memes and such!

As I was scrolling, I came across one that really grabbed my attention. Loving it so much I already shared it via social media, but thought to share it with all of you as well. To me, it’s definitely something that speaks volumes. Kind of an eye opener I would say. Well, at least to the open-minded it would be, and should be for those who aren’t.

Here it is… the post that inspired me to write this article. Pardon the language, but as I said via social media, I couldn’t resist sharing. Love it!!

“How extremely profound!” I quietly thought to myself upon reading it. Often, we hear jokes pertaining to such topics of religions, spirituality, beliefs, etc… etc…..  but this one wasn’t a joke by any means. It’s message is short, simple, very direct and to the point! And again, I love it!!!

We are all here on this beautiful planet we call Earth… we call Home. To coexist shouldn’t be anything difficult to achieve. It should be as easy as breathing, as easy as the wonderful gesture of a smile. To genuinely want to help others and be there for them, for all of us as we achieve our goals, our hopes and dreams! Pardon my language again, but life shouldn’t be a pissing contest to see who can “out-do” who.

We shouldn’t compare ourselves to each other just to boost our own selfish egos. Those who do that need to wake up and see that the world is much bigger than they are.

To help each other rise against adversity, together as a whole, regardless of our beliefs and lifestyles, would make this world so much better!

But no, it’s due to the narrow-minded ways of bigots, societal fears, and so on and so forth who fall into similar categories such as that, who prevent things from flourishing and growing into something miraculous! They fear change and negate anything positive. They are the naysayers, the haters of the world.

That’s why it’s so extremely important for the lightworkers, the positive mind-sets to take charge and let the small-minded individuals know that they have no power over them. That their negative attitudes cannot, and will not dim the light that resides in those of us who welcome change with open arms, ready to embrace a new day with high hopes of a brighter and better future!

Have a great weekend, everyone! Remember, YOU ROCK & YOU ARE LOVED!!! ❤

~ Sheila 🙂

The Black Heart

On a bed of roses she lies

as the vampire drains her, she dies.

Drinking her blood, drop by drop,

tasting her crimson as her heart stops.

He feels the essence of her very soul

leave her body while she turns cold.

Then, the embodiment of Death comes to take her over.

The vampire has become her final lover.

The Grim Reaper reaches for her hand

to take her away to Purgatory’s land.

She looks up into his dark, hollowed eyes

then looks back at the vampire to say her goodbyes.

He returns her gaze as she drifts away,

longing for just one more moment for her to stay.

But her time has come for her at last.

It will no longer be present, the time will be past

as the reaper takes her away,

alone the vampire must stay.

“The Portal”

“The Portal” ~ by Sheila Renee Parker

One, two….. the Demon’s waiting for you.

Three, four….. inside the Ouija Board.

Five, six…. to play his evil tricks.

Seven, eight….. away from Heaven’s gate.

Nine, ten…. don’t let the bastard win. .

Ouija Boards, or any kind of spirit boards for that matter, are something that many of you know that I am strongly against. I wish that toy companies wouldn’t market and distribute them as mere play things. Misinformed people so often think that there’s nothing to it, that it’s “all just a game”. Oh, how wrong they are……

Here’s a poem that I wrote based on my own experience with the nefarious Ouija. It’s been a while since I shared it with you, hope you enjoy reading it! And please, if any of you have had any kind of experience with spirit boards, don’t be afraid to share. Would love to hear about it!

“A Board Known As The Ouija” ~ by Sheila Renee Parker

The night was calm, dark and still. To this day, I remember it extremely well. However, many a year ago, it was a Saturday, a horror story of bold. Two other girls and I, together we were three, collected around a board known as the Ouija. Slowly, we placed our fingertips upon a small piece of wood called the planchette, dreading impending moments of regret, with fears of memories we wouldn’t forget.

With bated breath we deeply inhaled, then proceeded to ask things in great detail. For with the hereafter we wanted to converse, in a series of questions that were unrehearsed, like “is there anyone here?” and “how did you die?”. Then seconds later we got a reply. As scary as it was we were told “yes”. One simple word that made us become speechless. For we weren’t the ones who had replied, it was quite obvious by the fear in our eyes.

We continued with questions of more and we were answered with terror galore. With whom we had reached from the other side, was trying to come through with nothing to hide. Their answers were clear and their actions then too, for they were knocking over candles in the adjoining room. A room unoccupied with only a dim glow except for the entity’s unwanted show. Their presence was felt with heavy intent and we three girls were starting to resent unleashing this darkness that wasn’t fervent.

We stopped that night all due to fright and quickly put the board away locked up and tight. Our hearts raced without skipping a beat from what we had just witnessed that made the facts concrete. And even though it’s been so many years since that night with the swelling of tears, never again in front of me has there ever been another board known as the Ouija.

“Risen”

She soars high above adversity, rising higher than she’s ever been before. The Phoenix is an exquisite representation of a courageous spirit who refuses to back down in the face of fear.

The Phoenix is strong, confident and ever so elegant. She embraces the will to survive and seeks to aid others on their journey to empowerment!

Recently I wrote an article titled, Dodging the Bullet about how I had to get further testing (another mammogram and an ultrasound) to make sure that I didn’t have anything ailing me. My results came back all clear, thank goodness! But after all was done, I was inspired to paint a soaring Phoenix with a Breast Cancer Awareness ribbon as the bird’s body. I searched online for ideas on how to design the Phoenix and finally came up with a soft, yet bold, representation of how I wanted the artwork to turn out.

Here is my painting. I am extremely happy on how beautiful she is!!! She will proudly be displayed on a wall in my office. So excited!!  🙂

Little Miss Pollyanna

Ahhh…. Little Miss Pollyanna….. to live day to day with a positive attitude…. to try one’s best to help spread the ever so needed energy of positive vibes. …. to negate all that is negative to help the world be a better, brighter place. Not a bad way to live. At least, not for me anyway….. lol…. however….

There are those out there who have tried to imply that I’m “too bubbly”. That I’m too much of a dreamer, always with my head in the clouds. Well, all I have to say to that is… I am extremely proud of the cheerful person that I am! I have come a loooonnngggggg way to be the woman that I’ve become. And yes, I am a dreamer, but I am also a realist. I know when to set boundaries when it comes to the fantasy world. Will I ever stop being silly and goofy? Not a chance in Hell!!! 😉

Now I’m sure you’re all asking, “Why is she writing a blog post like this?”. Because on occasion a random person, here and there, has come forward to me with their negative verbiage and try to deflate my positive attitude. For some peculiar reason they think I’ve never had any of life’s issues. (Trust me, I’ve never been immuned to life’s challenges.) BUT…. I, just like anyone else, have the choice to rise above adversity. I will not allow anything negative to get the best of me, and I am well aware of how people and things are.

I think it’s hilarious that my positive disposition has actually bothered some folks. For them to literally reach out to me (especially when they don’t even know me) and try to dim my ray of sunshine?! Their comments have completely no effect on me. I use them to help me to be even stronger, to rise even higher as an enlightened individual. I honestly hope those who live negative lives are able to one day find peace and happiness in their hearts.

Some people are truly such sad individuals to try to bring others down. Now I promise my intentions are not to be petty with this article, nor play any childish games by calling out naysayers. All I am doing is reminding people how important it is to have a positive mindset and how much better it can, and will, make someone feel!

Being cynical only implies that one hasn’t discovered the inner strength or harmony needed to see the brighter side of things. There is a sense of awakening, even a sense of empowerment, when one finally embraces both, Light and Dark. As I often like to say…. “I love the Dark as much as I love the Light. There is such a beautiful balance.”

For all you beautiful people out there with your radiant smiles…. continue to shine for all the world to see! YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! And for all you naysayers…. you just need a BIG FUZZY HUG!!!! LOL…. 😉

Have a blessed weekend, everyone!

Love & Light, Sheila

“The Empyrean”

Viewing the highest level of Heaven as it beams down through the clouds, amid its grandeur and grace.

There’s such beauty when gazing into the above, wouldn’t you agree? While watching the clouds drift by, one can see endless images form right before their very eyes. Such a majestic world we live in, one can easily get lost daydreaming in its glory.

“The Empyrean” is a work of art that I passionately created inspired by the late afternoon’s sky. I was so moved by the vibrancy of the blues and the cotton candied hues that I couldn’t resist getting lost in the intensity of the moment.

“Fight Like A Girl”

Even though I’m not a fighter, I am a huge supporter of Breast Cancer Awareness. Since my recent article, Dodging The Bullet, I have discovered an amazing site that helps empower people worldwide by hosting wonderful fundraisers that aren’t just for people, but for animals and our planet as well! The Breast Cancer Site Store is “a registered fundraiser for GreaterGood.org, GreaterGood has proudly funded over $50 million and counting in charitable donations”.

Last week, after having my diagnostic mammogram and ultrasound come back with negative results, I was so elated that it inspired me to reach out even more as a breast cancer awareness advocate.

I know to some of you, you may be getting tired of me talking about it, but if I can reach out to at least one person who’s life can be saved, then that’s what truly matters! How important it is to be there for others and to help save lives!

When I was on The Breast Cancer Site Store I found this beautiful, yet simple, sterling silver ring with an enamel pink ribbon. I couldn’t resist buying it! It arrived in the mail, earlier than expected, two days ago and I proudly wear it to show my support, not just for this month (October being Breast Cancer Awareness month: a.k.a. “Pinktober”), but I will continue to wear it every single day. The ring’s fit is extremely comfortable and the purchase helps fund mammograms!! How cool is that?! Here’s the link to my sweet pink ribbon ring….. https://store.thebreastcancersite.greatergood.com/products/64143-pink-ribbon-sterling-ring

What are you waiting for?! lol…. Go check out the site! They have so many awesome things to choose from…. jewelry, clothing, blankets & bedding, throw pillows, car accessories, office accessories, home decor, personal care…. and so much more!!!! Again, when making a purchase, it helps fund amazing causes!

As always….. Love & Light, my friends!!
