The Circle of Life

Tomorrow is Easter for many people, but I celebrate it as Ostara. This is a very beautiful time of year. Spring is upon us as new life emerges. Warmer temperatures, bright colors as the flowers bloom and the smell of the fresh, crisp air make everything so invigorating. The energy is so enlightening, not to be filled with positive vibes, to me, would be absolutely unheard of!

I am proudly a Wiccan and I take this time of year very seriously, but I also believe in having lots of fun with it! I always enjoy painting and decorating eggs. Love those pastel colors: pinks, blues, yellows and so on and so forth… and today I’m even thinking about adding some sparkly jewels for a little extra pizzazz…. 😉 The egg is a beautiful symbol of fertility and new life. Which makes it all the more fun to decorate, right?! Not to mention all the other fun decorations with ribbons, rabbits, etc. etc….

However you celebrate it, enjoy this amazing and magical weekend! And always…. be blessed!!!

Feeling Blessed

Happy Friday and a BIG TGIF to you all!! Hope everyone’s had a great week with amazing weekend plans to follow. Things have been really awesome on my end, staying super busy as always, but loving every minute of it!

The Creative Mind

As I’m always saying… the creative mind never rests. Regardless of how one chooses to express their creativity, a myriad of emotions can be transformed in so many ways. Just like with my writing, I also find great joy immersing in art as I described in a previous article titled, “Artful Expressions”.

Death’s Design

Lately, I’ve been watching Final Destination; all of the films within the series. It’s morbid how many grotesque ways death is portrayed in each movie. The chain of tragic events that continue to snowball until the last victim meets their demise is truly twisted.

However, as disturbing as these films are, they got me to thinking. Now I’m well aware that death is inevitable and there’s no running from it (like the people try to do in the movies), but does death really have a design as theorized in the fictional flicks of Final Destination?

Death, throughout the ages, has been ghoulishly personified as the Grim Reaper, giving him a dark, hooded presence with skeletal hands wielding a scythe waiting to claim one’s soul. No wonder so many are terrified of Death. I mean, come on…. if a big, scary dude that looked like that started chasing after me, I would run like hell to get away from him, too. And then, what happens once he’s caught ya? It’s horrifying, right?! The kind of stuff nightmares are totally made of!

But here’s where my thinking gets weird, a creepy notion to ponder. Instead of fearing the unknown, how about facing it head on with strength and perseverance? Losing a loved one is never easy. Like others, I know that pain all too well. But as I’ve gotten older, I’ve begun to accept things more differently. Meaning that a passing, regardless of how tragic and sudden it may be, happens beyond our control. Now I’m not trying to sound insensitive by any means, but by accepting what is, as it is, will help to heal the heart. Again, it is inevitable, we just have to be strong and know that we are not alone.

Meet Drew Stevens

If you haven’t read my paranormal romance, The Spirit Within, then what are you waiting for? 🙂 Previously I’ve introduced you to two main characters, Cassy Blakemore and Raleigh Nichols and their crazy, insane relationship. But…. here’s where the plot thickens…. Meet Drew Stevens!

Who is this sexy, yet shy man of mystery? Drew Stevens is a reticent bookstore clerk who just so happens to arrive in Cassy’s life at the most opportune time! He takes a liking to her rather quickly and sweeps her off her feet with his spellbinding ways. Drew’s sweet and compassionate, but he’s also full of secrets. Why does he appear in Cassy’s life at just the right moment? Does Drew know something that she doesn’t? And if so, what does he have to reveal?
