Imaginary Friends…. Make believe or something ghostly? 🤔

Excellent topic for discussion….. Imaginary friends … So many children have them…. Mindless playing with tea parties, outdoor games or just pretending to sing in front of an audience. Children letting their imaginations run wild with their sweet innocence.

And then here’s another theory …. Perhaps one that can be the premise to something other worldly.

Often, the plot of a horror film…. the subject evolves around a lonely child who may seek the attention from a playmate. The parents discount it as something lighthearted until time passes and either the child’s behavior starts to turn dark, or something sinister literally happens, which leads to ungodly acts that are blamed on the misunderstood child. And as the young one proclaims innocence, he or she is wrongfully accused and then a whole world of problems arise… Yes, we’ve all seen films like these, read about stories online or in the papers… Heard about kids in school…. etc…. etc…. The list goes on and on….

So…. Do you believe that a child’s imaginary friend could actually be a ghost, or something evil with cruel intentions waiting to happen?

Hmmm….. Ponderism… 🤔

Hellhounds: Such Naughty Lil’ Pooches

Popularly known as “The Bearers of Death”. These mangled, black furred, dog-like beasts have existed in legends for centuries. They’re reported to be supernatural in nature and possess ghostly characteristics with a foul odor. They’re also known to terrorize their victims with their gnarling sharp teeth and razor claws. They have red glowing eyes, super strength and speed, and may even have a fiery appearance with hellish abilities.

According to European folklore, many have claimed that if a person stares into a hellhound’s eyes three or more times, or hear its terrifying howl, it could be an omen or possibly the cause of that individual’s death.

These naughty little pooches’ purpose? Often, to protect the entrances to the realms of those who have passed on, like burial grounds and cemeteries. The nefarious beasts may be responsible for other ghastly duties like protecting unearthly treasure and/or hunting the souls of the lost.

The tale of these ferocious creatures is well-known throughout Great Britain. The Isle of Man has their own version referred to as “Moddey Dhoo. Wales has their’s known as “Gwyllgi”. The “Cadejo”, according to Central American folklore, is a large black canine that haunts those who walk late into the night on country roads.

Pemain memiliki peluang besar untuk memenangkan permainan togel SGP ini dengan sedikit usaha.

As stated earlier, hellhounds are referred to as “The Bearers of Death”. These creatures were given this title because it was alleged that they were created by ancient demons to serve as heralds of death. Sightings have been documented all throughout history, including locations within the United States: Louisiana, Kentucky, Connecticut, Hawaii, Ohio and then even abroad in Vilseck, Germany. The hellhound known as “Black Shuck” roams the Norfolk, Essex and Suffolk coastline of England. It has been seen lurking around graveyards, dark forests and crossroads. According to Catalan myth, their version of the foreboding beast is referred to as “Dip”: The Devil’s emissary who sucks its victim’s blood.

Just a few years ago the London-Based archaeology group, DigVentures discovered the skeleton of a gigantic dog from a shallow grave less than two feet deep in the ruins of Leiston Abbey, Suffolk. According to the archaeologists, they stated that the dog’s height was more than seven feet on its rear legs and weighed around 200 pounds. The DigVentures team believes that the skeletal remains likely date back to medieval times. It is possible that the canine was a rather large hunting dog and perhaps possibly the initial spark that created the legend of “Black Shuck”.

So, makes one wonder doesn’t it? Do nefarious creatures like the demonic hellhound really exist? Or are they the product of superstitious minds who possess wild imaginations?

A little something to think about while sitting alone in a slightly dimmed room on a dark and stormy night. And don’t worry if you hear slight scratching on the window beside you. It’s probably just the wind blowing a tree limb that’s causing the noise, or…. maybe it’s not….. perhaps it’s a hellhound trying to claw its way in……… 😉 ***HOWLS!!!***

A Board Known As The Ouija

The night was calm, dark and still. To this day, I remember it extremely well. However, many a year ago, it was a Saturday, a horror story of bold. Two other girls and I, together we were three, collected around a board known as the Ouija. Slowly, we placed our fingertips upon a small piece of wood called the planchette, dreading impending moments of regret, with fears of memories we wouldn’t forget.

With bated breath we deeply inhaled, then proceeded to ask things in great detail. For with the hereafter we wanted to converse, in a series of questions that were unrehearsed, like “is there anyone here?” and “how did you die?”. Then seconds later we got a reply. As scary as it was we were told “yes”. One simple word that made us become speechless. For we weren’t the ones who had replied, it was quite obvious by the fear in our eyes.

We continued with questions of more and we were answered with terror galore. With whom we had reached from the other side, was trying to come through with nothing to hide. Their answers were clear and their actions then too, for they were knocking over candles in the adjoining room. A room unoccupied with only a dim glow except for the entity’s unwanted show. Their presence was felt with heavy intent and we three girls were starting to resent unleashing this darkness that wasn’t fervent.

We stopped that night all due to fright and quickly put the board away locked up and tight. Our hearts raced without skipping a beat from what we had just witnessed that made the facts concrete. And even though it’s been so many years since that night with the swelling of tears, never again in front of me has there ever been another board known as the Ouija.

“Spooky Random Fact: #13”

“Spooky Random Fact: #13”

“Yes”… “No”…. The spirits will tell you so, or do they really even know?

The Spirit Board, more commonly known as the Ouija Board, actually is based from the American 19th century obsession with spiritualism which is the belief that the deceased can communicate with the living and vice versa. On a scary note, many people believe that by using a Ouija Board, one can open doors leading into the gates of Hell, allowing demonic beings into our own world. After people use the board, several report hearing strange noises, seeing dark shadows, witnessing objects move mysteriously without reason and some extreme cases even claim experiencing possession from what they believe they brought through the “portal” or “opening” of the Ouija Board.

It’s not just a game. Once you’ve played with one, your life may never be the same. For you’ve been forewarned, what lies beyond the ghostly door shouldn’t be opened with a Ouija Board.

Black Eyed Kids: A Dark Deception

Knock, knock on the door.
The BEKs are back for more.

The sun is gone and the moon is high.
With pale skin and darkened eyes
these kids are here to terrorize.

The legend is real and the fact is true
that they only want to bring harm to you.

Their origin’s unclear
and they don’t care.
Their mission is to cause you undeniable fear.

They’ll take you away to a place unknown,
never to return, you’ll forever be gone.
So if you’re ever alone and these dreaded children appear,
deny them an invite to prevent unwanted fright
so that you’ll live to see another night.

And with these final words, may you be protected always with love and light.

“Demon”

“Demon”

It’s dark.                                                                                                                        Silent.                                                                                                                            Shadows are the only things around.

There’s no light, yet there’s something in the corner.                                          Mysterious. Devious.                                                                                                      You might even say demonic.

I’m afraid.                                                                                                                        I’m paralyzed.                                                                                                              Even though it doesn’t move, the red glow from its eyes hypnotize me.

Will there be conflict?                                                                                                         I pray not.                                                                                                                          It doesn’t speak.                                                                                                                 It just watches me.

I blink….                                                                                                                          ……it’s gone.

(“DEMON”. A poem by Sheila Renee Parker.)

Interview with Paranormal Investigator, Paula Westbrook

Today I’m welcoming paranormal investigator, Paula Westbrook. Thank you, Paula for stopping by!

Can you tell us a little about yourself?

I’m from Shreveport Louisiana. I now live in Picayune, MS with my husband David, and my son Joseph. I have a paranormal team named SPARS. And I am the Event Coordinator of the Gulf Coast ParaCon. I have a love of history, and the paranormal.

Why the paranormal?

As with many people, it started at a young age. As a child we lived in many active locations. And it seemed these spirits would seek me out, or I was the only one that seemed aware of them. This terrified me, especially would seem to seek me out to torment me. It became normal for me to experience it. Slowly I became used to it. I quit
letting them get to me. And by the time I was about 10 I was searching for them on my terms. This was a way to gain power over my fears.

How did your team, Southern Paranormal and Anomaly Research Society (SPARS) get started and what kind of places do you investigate?

I am the original founder of this group. I founded SPARS in 2006. I had groups before. But I was newly divorced and new to the area, and I felt this was a way to meet like minded people. We investigate residential, businesses, and historic locations. We are here to help anyone who needs our help. I also do cleansings. And of course, we never charge.

You’re the Event Coordinator who’s preparing the upcoming paranormal event, The Gulf Coast ParaCon in Biloxi, Mississippi. Share with us all the exciting details: dates of the event, who the guest speakers will be, where everyone can purchase tickets, and even about the paranormal investigation that will take place at the Beauvoir House.

One of my favorite places on the Gulf Coast is Beauvoir, (The Last Home of Jefferson Davis). We came together with Beauvoir and created a fundraiser for the restoration and preservation of this beautiful property. My team and I are bringing in Speakers ,
Paranormal Investigators from all over the country . And from different areas of the field so that we can bring education of the paranormal to the public. We have Keith Age from Louisville, Kentucky. He has been in the field for 30 plus years and has been seen on SYFY, “Children of the Grave”, and “Death Tunnel” just to mention a few documentaries of the paranormal. He is also the founder of the largest Paranormal Group in the country, The Louisville Ghost Hunting Society. James Annito, the founder of Dominion Ministries will be here to talk about Demonology. Kevin Betzer, and Randy Hardy as seen on the t.v. show, “Deep South Paranormal” on SYFY. Ayne Pustanio, Author of Haunted New Orleans and a specialist in the Occult. Mary Milam, better known as “Bloody Mary”, a Voodoo Priestess from New Orleans. Seasoned Paranormal Investigators, Gavin Kelly, Sasha Klanott, and Bernadine LaBlanc.

We’ll start off Friday night with the Meet and Greet. We’ll have the speakers and the team members of SPARS there so you can meet us all and get to know us. We’ll have Food and Cash Bar, and I forgot to mention it’s a Costume party. We will also have a D.J. there. It’s always my favorite part of the weekend. Then, on Sat, the 23rd from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 P.M., we will have the speaker lectures at the Presidential Library along with Vendors and people will also be there to do Psychic readings. Then at 8:00 p.m. Sat. night, we will be doing a Paranormal Investigation of the entire 52 acre property of Beauvoir. This also includes the Museum, the house, and the cottages.

Tell us about the history of the Beauvoir House and why is it haunted?

Beauvoir was the last home of Confederate President, Jefferson Davis, and after the death of President Davis, it was handed down to his daughter then to his Widow. Varena Davis, his widow, left it to the current owners of Beauvoir, The Mississippi Division of Confederate Veterans. They in turn turned it into a retirement home for Confederate Veterans and their wives, and widows. Many people lived and died on this property. To many of these people, this was their last home. And their spirits still roam this property today, as with any hospital or retirement home.

What kind of ghostly experiences have people had at this historical location?

We have seen soldiers, and shadow people, and even a ghost dog. We hear voices, lights come on by themselves. People have experienced someone coming up
and whispering in their ear. Doors open and close. Strange balls of light have been seen on the property. Apparitions, as solid as you and I, of Jefferson Davis have been seen. Many have thought he was a reenactor only to find out that there were no
reenactors there. Many brides have captured a picture of Winnie Davis standing in the window of her room. She usually shows up right before a wedding. She was the only child of the Davis’ to live on the property. She never married and died in her 30’s.

Where can paranormal enthusiasts find updates about The Gulf Coast ParaCon?

Our Facebook page, SPARS paranormal. That’s where we have our discussions and answer questions.

*** Here’s some more exciting news I’d like to add for all of my special readers.***

Interview with GP Haggart

Today I’m welcoming author and demonologist, GP Haggart. Thank you, GP for stopping by!

Can you tell us a little about yourself?

I am an author and theologian who has been involved with spiritual warfare since my first encounter with a demon in 1997. You know that ending phrase at the end of paranormal shows, “An exorcism was done in the house.” Yep, that’s me.

Why the paranormal?

I never attempted to associate myself with the paranormal community. I have always been a part of the church community. One day word spread about me to some paranormal groups who were confronting demonic cases and they asked me for advise. I then thought, “Hey, this paranormal community is growing quickly,” at the time, “I should write a book to help them with demonology.” I thought, “What better way to help more people.” Then, some online radio buffs contacted me to be on their shows and things took off. Next thing I knew producers were calling me for demonic advice and nearly got my own show. I look back now and thank God I didn’t. People are very opinionated these days and I just do not care to deal with the BS of slander and defamation that comes with the negative aspects of the paranormal community. Don’t get me wrong. I’ve made many friends in the paranormal and have a lot of fun talking with people in it. There is a sense of belonging the paranormal community has about it which is attractive.

What’s it like being both a pastor and a demonologist?

I was a pastor from 2003 to 2012. I do not pastor anymore and still get called by a few ministries to pastor for them but I have my reasons. When God calls me back to pastor I’ll do my best to be ready. To be both a pastor and a demonologist was intriguing. I investigated the cases and being an ordained minister at the time I would just cast out the demons right there; unlike most demonologists who wait for clergy to see evidence and get through their objective diagnosis.

You’re the demonology consultant for The Travel Channel’s, The Dead Files. Can you share with us one of your most frightening experiences?

The Demon War episode was frightening for the family. Amy determined the spirits there were demons and mainly in the little boys room. They were also plaguing the boy, and I felt for him. As a father, I love children and basically brought the heavy artillery in to keep those demons out. About the only thing you see me do on that episode is use the Orthodox intense burner because the producers really like the looks of it; that just cleansed the home. What I actually did that you don’t see that cast the demons out was the use of anointing oil from the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem on entry areas, and Holy soil wrapped in scripture placed in cracks outside the home. Needless to say they never came back and the boy is safe.

How do you prepare yourself for an investigation? And how do you protect yourself from any demonic activity?

I don’t usually investigate: paranormal investigators provide me with materials I need to study a case and make a determination of what applications to use to cast out demons. I have dealt with mostly stage 4 (The Advanced Stage) and stage 5 (The Dangerous Stage) and to be honest, the stuff I’ve seen makes you humble before God and hope He is there protecting you. You have to have faith in spiritual warfare. Most new comers to demonology get excited and go looking for demonic cases; I don’t. I hate this field, and am only involved because I have the knowledge and experience necessary to know what the demon is doing, what they are after, and how to remove their rights. There is nothing exciting about this field. I have experience so much spiritual warfare I was diagnosed with PTSD. People who get involved in demonology and spiritual warfare need to realize evangelism (love, spreading the gospel) is most important. You’ll know you are spreading the gospel right when the devil sends a demon your way. The knowledge of spiritual warfare is for defense purposes, not offense. Jesus and the apostles never went looking for demons, demons looked for them and showed up to try and divert attention away from the message of Jesus Christ. They hate Jesus. I recall one demon told me during an exorcism that he hated all the “Jesus crap.” When we spread God’s word and a demon shows up to put a wrench in our ministry, that is when spiritual warfare knowledge is needed: other than that the devil does not deserve any attention.

You’re also an author. Can you tell everyone a little about your books and where they can be purchased?

My books seem to be every where and for some reason they are very popular in Britain. But anyone can type my name in Amazon and there they are. I write a Mechanics series, volume one and two on demonology are out there, volume 3 I’m still writing and Mechanics of Angelology should be out in 2016. I wrote my testimony titled The Ekballist, about my life struggles with the demonic. I also wrote a few financial books to help people with money; used to be a financial rep too. I write a fantasy novel series titled Dragon Slayer, which chronicles the Pendragon family line from beginning to end.

If someone is in need of a demonologist, how can they contact you?

I’m on Facebook mostly and take a lot of questions, and consult. Most of the Paranormal groups in the Great Lakes region know me also.

What would you consider as a positive highlight from being a demonologist?

I have witnessed God’s providence. If you don’t know what that is, it is where God allows something to happen to you to strengthen and build you up for something in the future. You’re there wondering why events are happening to you but months or years down the road something happens in which you are prepared for. For me I suffered demonic possession in 1997 and look where I am today: using my experience to put a wrench in the devil’s plans for people.

What’s next for GP Haggart?

I would like to write a few more books on demonology and call it good. Then concentrate on writing novels. Continue to consult on cases, take extreme cases no one can handle as usual, and be a loving father to my son. I’m working on my masters of theology right now and ultimately would like to work on a doctorate. I may even be involved in a new show consulting on demonic cases. Oops, said too much. LOL

Any words of advice?

It takes a big man to cry, but it takes a bigger man to laugh at that man. Just kidding. LOL
Always keep in mind demonic activity is a smoke screen; know what the demon is really after. And if you’ve ever been abused, please seek help. Most of the cases of possession I’ve handled always involved sexual abuse of some kind. No one should go through life with emotional pain.
