Mmmmm…. mysterious and oh so seductive……

Did you know that reports of incubi (plural for incubus) date way back to 2400 BC during Mesopotamia times. It was rumored that the hero, Gilgamesh’s father was Lilu, an incubus that supposedly aroused women in their sleep with his erogenous ways. The men from that era had their version as well, the succubus referred to as Lililu. Another tale comes from the Malleus Maleficarum in 1486 written by Heinrich Kramer. Kramer wrote that a succubus’s purpose was to seduce her victim and collect his semen. Then, the incubus would take the semen and use it to impregnate his female victim. With this theory, it gives explanation as to how demons sire children. These alleged children were called cambions who were often born cursed with birth defects and a sensitivity to the supernatural.

Bring it on, 2018… We’ve got this!!!

Wow, can you believe it?! 2018 is almost here!! I mean seriously, where did the time go? So much has happened in 2017! In September, I had the opportunity to attend the 2017 Gulf Coast ParaCon that was hosted by SPARS Paranormal in Biloxi, Mississippi, located at the beautiful Beauvoir. In November, I attended The Paranormal Diaries Film: EVENT in Sauk Centre, Minnesota, at the historical Palmer House Hotel. At both events I met lots of great people that I now consider very dear friends, and even took part in conducting paranormal investigations at both places. Plus, by being at both places, I learned so much more paranormally, historically and also many things on a personal level as far as exploring my very own gifts of being an empath and being able to communicate with the angelic realm. I’ve continued to grow from my experiences and feel even more enlightened on my life’s daily journey.

In the upcoming year of 2018 lots of exciting plans are in the works! I’ve been invited to join some more paranormal investigations that I’m really looking forward to! And I’ve also been invited back as a guest on a radio show in the very near future. Will happily keep you all posted! Not to mention, more exciting interviews with some pretty awesome guests that I can’t wait to publish for everyone to read! Also, many people have been asking about my next book, the sequel to The Spirit Within (The Spirit Within is available on Amazon!). This next book has been an exciting work in progress! I’m extremely thrilled with how the story line is being created…. lots more paranormal twists and steamy romance!

And, my art has really been taking off with buyers purchasing prints of my work (available at https://fineartamerica.com/profiles/sheilarenee-parker.html ). So, definitely phenomenal things are happening!!

Meet Raleigh Nichols

Have you read my paranormal romance, The Spirit Within? If so, then you’ll know who this rugged mechanic is. Meet Raleigh Nichols, the inimical boyfriend of the main character, Cassy Blakemore.

Who is this irreverent soul?

He’s a hard working mechanic who’s employed full-time at the local body shop. His name is Raleigh Nichols and is crazy in love with his girlfriend, Cassy Blakemore. Sure, he may be a tad overbearing and a bit cynical, but that doesn’t stop him from wanting to please his girl with his sultry, southern charm. The way Raleigh’s sensual touch melts Cassy’s heart, gets her every time. Well, that is until the day Raleigh’s inner darkness emerges. A darkness that becomes so brutal that it creates a terrifying wedge between the two lovers.

Their love is undeniable, but the personal turmoil that Raleigh battles causes him to lose the fight to alcoholism. While his thirst grows deeper for the bottle, his anger becomes intensified as his emotions become explosively abusive towards Cassy. Raleigh’s apologies are hollow and ignored, but that doesn’t end his relentless obsession with his girlfriend.

Before the final straw breaks, Cassy discovers supernatural abilities that she never knew she had. It’s thanks to these newly found powers that keep her world from totally disintegrating.

The Valentine Lover

The clock strikes twelve, it’s finally midnight.
Valentine’s Day has arrived.
Alone in the bed I await as the minutes slowly tick by.
Every year, this day belongs to only he and I.

Myself, I willingly give to him.
And in return, he pleasures me with salacious sin.

Suddenly, the moment is here
and I feel his presence near.
Taking his time, he enters the bed down by my feet,
kissing each toe beneath my satin red sheet.

Then, with his lengthy tongue he trails up my leg
causing me to moan and slightly beg.
He continues upward with his warm lips,
pausing ever so briefly between my hips.

My body quivers and he grins.
Paralyzed by my weakness, I allow him in.
He penetrates my being with all that he is,
consumed by desire I am rendered speechless.

Together we flow, our rhythm as one.
With amorous energy our bodies hum.
His kisses are hard, deep and long
as the sensual night lingers on.

Hours later the morning sun appears
as my sweet beloved gradually disappears.

Prior to leaving, he makes it very clear
that only one night a year
there is no other,
the Incubus is the Valentine lover.

Meet Cassy Blakemore

If you’ve read my novel, The Spirit Within, then you’ll know who this young lady is…. the main character, Cassy Blakemore! Join Cassy’s gripping journey into the unknown as she discovers deep-seated secrets and supernatural powers!

 

Who is this intriguing young lady?

She’s a mousy nineteen year old college student who’s major is in art with hopes and dreams of owning her own gallery one day. Her name is Cassandra Blakemore, but to those dearest to her, she’s affectionately known as Cassy. She tries to live a simple life with her boyfriend, Raleigh Nichols, a rugged mechanic who Cassy’s Uncle Mitch sorely dislikes, but tolerates for the love of his niece.

Raleigh, who claims he loves Cassy undeniably, soon finds comfort by delving deeper into the bottle. His insufferable alcoholism takes an unruly turn as he becomes abusive towards Cassy. It’s at this point in her life that she’s faced with her worst fears.

And as if all of this wasn’t enough, not only does she endure verbal and physical abuse, Cassy discovers a whole other side to herself that she never knew existed. Cassy starts to have premonitions, experiencing ESP right before horrible things happen. Also, supernatural abilities of levitation and telekinesis begin to show through Cassy’s newly found powers.

She’s terrified and confused. Fight or flight. She has to decide. As she moves forward, she meets new people, embraces new love with a mysterious bookstore clerk named, Drew Stevens, and learns about deep-seated family secrets that are shockingly revealed.

Cassy struggles, but finds the strength to travel down a path to empowerment. She becomes the Phoenix that rises high above the ashes of adversity. Cassy discovers The Spirit Within!

Hmmm… I quietly sighed to myself as I breathed in the scent of the salty air carried
on the gentle breeze, caressing every fiber of my being. I laughed just a little from
watching two seagulls taunt each other off in the distance. I could feel the warm glow
from the sun’s rays as they beamed down on me, causing little beads of sweat to form
on my body.

The sand cradled me beneath my towel as I nestled into a comfortable state of bliss. I
closed my eyes and listened to the soothing sounds of the ocean waves softly rock
back and forth against the shore.

Enjoying the gift that Mother Nature has shared with me on this gorgeous day, I
almost forgot that I was not alone. Suddenly, I felt a shift in weight. Someone was
slowly moving closer to me.

“Cassy?” a deep voice whispered in my ear.
I ignored it. I was too involved in my fantasy to be bothered.

“Baby, it’s time to wake up.” the voice said louder.

“Just a little bit longer.” I begged.

“Cassy….” breathed the voice as he gently kissed me on the cheek.

“What?”

“You’re gonna be late for class.”

“Class?!” I moaned, pulling the comforter over my head with the harsh reality that
the summer beach get-away I just had was the all-too-real experience of a beautiful
dream……
