Interview with Bobbi Riesling

Today I’m welcoming Bobbi Riesling. She’s a resident of a home with a very haunted history. Thank you, Bobbi for stopping by!

Can you tell us a little about yourself?

I was born in California and lived there as a child and eventually moved to the Middle East. My father worked for the government and the military, so in 1977 we moved to   Tehran, Iran. We were there until the end and we were on the last flight out. Then, we went back to California and later moved to Saudi Arabia in 1982. Stayed there for 5 years and eventually went back to California. Needless to say, I’ve been around the world 4 times and I have experienced many cultures which probably led to me being the way I am.

Why the paranormal?

As for the paranormal it’s always been a part of my life in one way or another. I remember at the age of 7 I had a friend tree. In my mind, she was a female and I used to talk to her everyday and bring her gifts. To me it was totally normal. I guess even then I knew things were much deeper than what we perceive, not to mention my entire family going back generations have always dealt with the paranormal, we all have gifts.  Every single house that I have lived in has had activity, so it’s just a part of our life.

You live in a haunted house. Care to share some of your paranormal experiences?

As for my experiences, things did not become really strong until my parents bought the house in Georgia, moving from Maryland. A couple of weeks before they moved, they were here in Maryland and kept getting phone calls from a security system telling them there was movement inside the new home. This would be the beginning. After they moved in, the activity increased. It started out as sounds like moving furniture, then became smells and a fluctuation in temperature which then became stronger and became physical after my brother passed in that very home, and yes the paranormal sped up his death. I spent a lot of time there, traveling from Maryland and staying at the house with my parents. It seems when my mother and I are together in the home, the activity is off the charts. We both have been physically attacked, my mother more than I. My one experience was a violation. My mother seems to be the main target of this particular evil spirit and she has been thrown down the stairs, scratched, bit, hit, and that continues to this day. My father has been attacked as well. He had an accident in the garage which severed his wrist artery and I was there, and luckily got him to the hospital in time. There are several portals in the home as well. Even the animals have been affected and we did lose one dog. We have seen many shadow people, a lot of orbs, weird visual disturbances. I have taken hundreds of pictures and a lot of video to back that up.

What’s the history behind the house’s paranormal activity?

As for the history of the place, we did learn many years ago that the home was on the property of the Bel-Air Plantation which was the biggest plantation in the area and it was owned by a very evil man who had around 400 slaves. The man’s name was William Crawford and that home later burnt down, but everyone survived.

Have you sought out any kind of assistance with the cleansing of the entities? And if so, what were the results?

We have gotten help. We have had 3 teams separate come and investigate and clean, which led to being on The Dead Files TV show, season 10: episode six titled, Return of the Dammed. The last time we had one out after being on the show came and helped, but it didn’t work. Unfortunately, we have different opinions and they think they did a good job in only 2. Unfortunately, ego got in the way. I can honestly say we were taken advantage of, it cost us $650 with absolutely no follow up, no checking on us, nothing.   At this point, all ghost hunting teams have left a bad taste in my mouth.

How has the paranormal affected you and your family living in the house?

This has deeply affected my family and still does to this day. We keep experiencing negative energies and yes, it has caused a rift in the family, and we are all very affected. Imagine seeing or hearing things and not knowing if it’s good or bad?

What would you say to a skeptic who may be in question in regards to the ghostly realm?

My words to any skeptic, “the door is open, come and stay-a-while!!”

Any words of wisdom you’d care to share?

My words of wisdom are, the world is not black-and-white and there is definitely more to it than meets the eye. This whole experience has opened my 3rd eye and I continue to work on my abilities. And I now want to help others. There are definitely spirits, they are just us only transitioned. Since my brother has passed, I have gotten very close with him because he is always here and gives us signs every day. It is truly amazing that there is a beautiful white light-of-love in the center of all this darkness. Never under estimate your loved ones. This story crosses from Georgia to Maryland. The activity is also with us. We attract the other side, so we are dealing not only with what is on the ground, but also with us.

  1. Hello this is a very good post! Plus I have a question for you. I like to write and I’ve dreamt of being a writer for so many years. I was thrilled to see that you are a actual writer and publisher of a book. I have been playing this game called Fantage for a few years and it is closing next Saturday. I have been following this little idea I have is to write a book about Fantage’s history and give them the money to help them stay open. I have been working on it ever since they announced they were closing. If you know anyone who might be able to help me publish this or be interested please do reply. Thank you for being a inspiration to me! You really made my day when I saw that you were following my blog.
