A Random Act of Kindness

True story….. I was at a convenient store today to get gas. Went inside to pay. A young man in line before me turned to me and asked, ” what are you getting?”

I looked at him kinda puzzled and replied, “Gas.”

He said, “ok” . Then turned back around to face the cashier and said, “I got her.” Then he proceeded to pay for my gas.

I was like, “seriously?”

He turned back to me and smiled, “yes, ma’am”.

It took me by surprise. I asked him if I could give him a hug as I thanked him, and he of course said yes.

The young man didn’t ask for anything in return. He actually paid for another lady’s purchase as well.

As I was leaving, I smiled and thanked him again. He returned the smile and waved.

And just like that, a random act of kindness…. especially with gas prices being as crazy as they are. I am still at awe over his generosity. Proof that there is good in the world! ❤️

Stay blessed, everyone!

  1. Aww, what a nice interaction you had there. Kinda makes you feel like paying it forward too, doesn’t it? Sure, there are loads of bad things happening in the world, but we’re human, and humans have a great capacity for kindness too. Thanks for sharing this story!
